A pesar de tratarse de una subida de car\u00e1cter regional, el hecho de celebrarse a principios de temporada propici\u00f3 la participaci\u00f3n de pilotos importantes que quer\u00edan entrenar y poner a punto sus m\u00e1quinas. En esta ocasi\u00f3n nada menos que tres barquetas Lola BMW pilotadas por <strong>Miguel Iraola<\/strong>, <strong>Carlos Arenzana<\/strong> y <strong>Andr\u00e9s Vilari\u00f1o<\/strong> se disputar\u00edan el triunfo. Vilari\u00f1o, que se estrenaba esta temporada con una barqueta, sufr\u00eda una <strong>aparatosa salida<\/strong> <strong>de pista<\/strong> en la \u00faltima zona de la segunda manga oficial cuando intentaba recortar tiempo a Arenzana. Estomba)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En aquella \u00e9poca todav\u00eda eran comunes en las subidas los monoplazas <strong>Selex<\/strong> de la extinta copa SEAT 1430. <strong>Pedro Rom\u00e1n<\/strong> y <strong>Joseba Gayoso<\/strong> optaron por este tipo de veh\u00edculo, aunque el de Rom\u00e1n estaba equipado con un motor Toyota. Estomba)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s de por el espectacular accidente de Vilari\u00f1o, la jornada estuvo tambi\u00e9n marcada por la re\u00f1ida lucha entre <strong>Joaqu\u00edn Goiburu<\/strong> (Simca Rallye) y <strong>Serge Coursan<\/strong> (Ford Escort MkII) por el triunfo en el <strong>Grupo 2<\/strong>. Coursan se puso en cabeza en la primera manga marcando un tiempo de 1&#8242; 54,23&#8243;, pero Goiburu sali\u00f3 a por todas en la segunda manga parando el\u00a0 cron\u00f3metro en 1&#8242; 54,22&#8243;. Unos minutos m\u00e1s tarde tom\u00f3 la salida Coursan y se encontr\u00f3 con el piso mojado a casusa de la lluvia, lo que le impidi\u00f3 mejorar sus tiempo de la primera manga.
